Art in Action is a wonderful locally-based nonprofit which helps bring engaging art curricula to K-8 schools. Today they reach 85,000 students, training 5,000 teachers and volunteers in 623 schools and after school programs in 32 states. 51% of those we serve are Title I schools in low-income communities. 82% of our schools are in California, with 55% located in the Bay Area.

You can literally help get art in the hands of students around the country by helping us organize and pack the materials or art supplies required at Art in Action schools. Volunteers of high school age and above are welcome.
(Most likely we’ll be packing lessons into bags - assembly line packing in small groups. Perhaps with some “sub assembly” type stuff like measuring yarn.)

Maximum 15 volunteers. Minimum age 16 years old.
